Septoplasty

The surgical procedure of correcting a deviated septum.  A septum is the bone and cartilage that is found in the center of the nose's anatomy.  It separates the nostrils.  Often we see people who have a deviated septum which means that it is bent either naturally or by traumatic injury.  The surgery of correcting it allows the patient to experience greater relief by not having an obstruction to prevent the flow of air thru the nostrils for improved breathing.
