Kybella

Kybella is used to reduce and/or eliminate unwanted fullness under the chin which is also known as submental fulllness. Two-thirds of patients complain this area bothers them as it is a very stubborn area of the body that usually does not lose weight when we do, other reasons for fullness in this area are genetics and aging.

The active ingredient in Kybella is called synethetic deoxchyloic acid. This acid naturally occurs in our body to aid in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.  When administered to the under chin area, Kybella destroys the fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness.  Other options that result in the destruction of fat would be laser liposuction, which sucks the fat out.  These are the best options for the typical patient and their desired outcome.
