Will my breast look deflated after having my implants removed?

This is a great question and really points to managing accurate patient expectations.  Every person is different so this answer will vary from one patient to another. Best advice without a consultation is to consider these few things when determining if removal without replacing is the right thing for you.

First consider the size of your implants and the amount of time you had your implants for, the bigger the implant and  the more time you had the implants in for the more of a deflated look you will have post removal. During your consultation you will be evaluated for your grade of pstosis (sagging of the breast).  This will help determine whether your expectations are in line with removal.  If more sagging and less projection is your expectation then it is likely you are prepared for removal without replacement.  Another option is removal with a breast lift, having a breast lift performed at the time of removal will help correct sagging and improve projection with the breast tissue that is remaining once your implants are removed.
